When looking for any beauty product, be sure to avoid these major toxins that are typically used by manufacturers. There are many companies who in fact make relatively safe nail polish free of toxic chemicals that can be absorbed into the body. Basically you can get nail polishes that are: 9-free, 7-free, and 5-free. All are safe options, and 7 and 9 free are for those people who are extra careful. Go for brands that are any of the following:

5-Free Nail Polishes
Free of: Formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.

7-Free Nail Polishes
Free of: Formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, camphor, ethyl tosylamide, and xylene.

9-Free Nail Polishes
Free of: Formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, parabens, and acetone.
